Description

Imaged Venus on the evening of April 4, 2023 (April 5th in UTC).  Venus had a diameter of 14.3" and was 76% illuminated.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, ZWO ADC, Astrodon Johnson/Cousins Photometric UV and ZWO IR 850nm pass filters, and ZWO ASI290MM. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/10 (FL=2000 mm). Image capture using Firecapture with the following gain/exposure settings:  UV: g=300, 15ms; IR:  g=275, 1.25 ms .  Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 5% of 20000 frames captured over ~180 seconds). De-rotated images in WinJupos.  Generated false RGB in WinJupos (R=IR, no green, B=UV).
